Livingston area Activities

Livingston is within walking distance of world class fly fishing, and the experts at the internationally known Dan Bailey's Fly Shop are located adjacent to the hotel. Livingston is surrounded by areas ideal for hiking, horseback riding, rafting, canoeing, kayaking, climbing, biking, hunting, golf, and more. Yellowstone Park is less than an hour away. In any season, outdoor activities abound. If you're looking for indoor activities, then Livingston is the perfect place. The town has received national attention for its cultural attractions including art galleries, museums, theater, and fine restaurants.

Yellowstone National Park

The North Entrance to Yellowstone, with its historic arch, is just 50 miles from Livingston. Summer activities include wildlife viewing, ranger-led programs, sightseeing, hiking, fishing, boating, bicycling, horseback riding, and more. Winter activities in Yellowstone include cross-country skiing, snow coach tours, snowmobiling, and wildlife watching. Winter is a good time to see wolves in the park; in January and February the snow provides a perfect backdrop for spotting wolves.

During all seasons, the Park offers plenty of activities, as well as classes, field seminars, and other programs offered by the non-profit Yellowstone Association Institute.
